COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course provides the fire company officer with information and experience in command and control techniques at the scene of an emergency. The course provides an in-depth analysis of the principles of fire control through utilization of personnel, equipment, pre-planning fire problems, and extinguishing agents on the fire ground. This course reviews fire chemistry, methods of fire attack, and basic fire fighting tactics and strategy.
Learning Objectives:
1. Describe and summarize the basic divisions of firefighting operations.
2.
Recognize and identify strategies associated with fire ground
operations, management, decision making, Command & Control, and the
Incident Command System.
3. Analyze various simulated emergency situations, establish tactical objectives, understand decision models, and understand operational principles required to control an emergency.
Each student also has the opportunity to
increase his or her knowledges and skills by handling initial
operations at these types of incidents through simulation and class
activities.
All classes are filled on a first come first served basis.

Refunds will be given if cancellation notice is received within 20 days
of the class. Cancellation after the cut-off date will result in
students receiving a 50% refund.
